Food stall & food court

A stall that runs on one phone.

No room for a machine, no socket for a printer, and a queue that doesn't stop. PepulBill runs on the phone in your pocket — customers scan and order themselves, and your takings add themselves up by the end of the night.

What a food stall & food court shop gets

  • Nothing to plug in — the phone you already carry
  • A QR on the stall front, and customers order themselves
  • Built for festivals and food courts, where the rush is short and fierce
  • Your takings counted by the end of the night

Your trade starts with table orders switched on. You can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Questions people ask

  • Do I need to buy a billing machine or a printer?

No. The phone in your hand is the counter. The customer's bill opens on their own phone, so there is nothing to print and no paper roll to buy.

  • Does the customer need to install an app?

No. They point their phone camera at the QR and your menu opens in their browser. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for.

  • What happens if the internet drops?

PepulBill needs a connection to take an order and make a bill — we would rather say that plainly than have you find out mid-festival. It is built to be light enough to work on a slow mobile connection, and your records are on our servers rather than the phone, so a phone that dies or is lost takes nothing with it.

  • Is it in Tamil?

Every screen, for you and for your customer. Your shop's own words — its name and its items — are stored in both Tamil and English, so the bill reads properly whichever language the customer chose.

  • Can my staff use it without seeing my takings?

Yes. You add each person and tick exactly what they can do. Someone who takes orders and makes bills never has to see the day's total, the reports or the team list.

  • What does it cost?

You get a free run first, so you can trade on it before paying anything. After that it is a monthly subscription per shop — three sizes, from a single stall to a business with several branches — and six months or a year costs less. The exact length and the full prices are on our plans page.

  • What happens to my records if I stop paying?

They are not deleted because a payment is late. You can also download your bills and items as a spreadsheet at any time, and we will hand you a copy if you ask — your records are your business's, not ours.
